The redesigned camera module for the new Telephoto sensor, which is nearly 4x larger than the previous model, for even better images and videos.

We've positioned the new rear cameras for stable two-handed shooting. The dedicated shutter button and new flash position ensure comfortable shooting and uniform lighting for great results every time.

Protection from water, dust and drops

The Xperia 1 VIII uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 in the front, which contains an average of 25% of pre-consumer recycled content. In addition, it maintains superior scratch resistance and improves drop performance on rougher surfaces. The back features Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® with a special texture and frosted glass finish, making it more resistant to fingerprints and surface scratches. Xperia 1 VIII IP65/68⁰ is also water-resistant and protected against dust.
