"What stayed with me when I took this image in the Masai Mara was not the full sight of the leopard, but this small, powerful moment. The way its paw pressed into the tree held so much quiet strength, tension, and control. I felt that I did not need to show the whole animal to tell the story. This one detail carried its presence so completely, and I wanted to capture it just as I felt it in that moment."

Participation

What type of photos/videos should I submit?

We welcome any photos or videos that relate to one of the six contest themes:
• Chase The Vision [NEW]
• Chase Emotions
• Chase The Wild
• Chase The Unknown
• Chase Speed
• Chase Light

Am I able to submit multiple frames in a single entry?

Each entry can contain up to 6 photos or videos. To ensure fair assessment and clarity in judging, each post should clearly align with only one contest theme.

Can I submit more than one entry?

Participants may submit entries to more than one contest theme. However, each entry must be submitted as a separate post, with only one theme-related hashtag per post. Entries that include multiple category hashtags in a single post will be deemed ineligible and will not be considered by the judging panel.

Am I allowed to edit my photos/videos for entry?

For photo submissions, simple editing of photo(s) is allowed such as adjustment in contrast, brightness and minor cropping; however there should be no alteration of scenes such as addition or removal of objects. High-Dynamic Range images and panorama-stitched images are also allowed for the purpose of this contest. You may be required to provide original RAW files with EXIF intact as proof that it was shot on Sony Alpha Camera and Lens.

When should I submit my entry?

You can submit your application from now until 30 January 2026.

When will the winners be announced?

The announcement of the winners will be notified via Instagram Direct Message.

Is there a time limit for my video entry?

Yes, submitted video entries are capped at a maximum duration of 60 seconds.

What are the judging criteria?

The judging criteria are based on relevance to the theme (20%), originality of the narrative (40%), and composition & creativity (40%). Entries will be evaluated on how thoughtfully the vision is expressed and how effectively the theme is interpreted.

Eligibility

Must I be a Singaporean or Singapore PR to participate?

The Contest is open only to people of any nationality lawfully residing in Singapore who are 18 years or older as at the date of participation and during the Contest Period.

What gear can I use to shoot my contest entry?

Photos and videos submitted must be taken with a Sony Alpha camera and lens. Looking for a camera or to upgrade your set-up? Check out our ongoing promotions.

Do I need to own a G Master lens to participate?

Shooting with a G Master lens is encouraged, but optional. Alternatively, you may loan a G Master lens at 50% off at our Sony Store, 313@somerset. Subject to availability. Learn more here.
