How to search for a computer on the network?
A. To search for a known computer
1. Click Start and click Search.
2. Click Computers or people.
3. Click A Computer on the network.
4. Type in the name of the known computer in the text box and click Search.
B. To search for an unkown computer
* In a workgroup environment
1. Start My Network Places.
2. From the Network Tasks menu, click View workgroup computers.
* In a domain environment
1. Start My Network Places.
2. Double-click View Network Connections and double-click Microsoft Windows Network.
3. Double-click one of the domain name that the unknown computer is in.
