No Sound or Low Volume from TV Speakers

    1. Essential Volume & Mute Checks

    • Increase the TV volume to ensure TV is not muted and volume is at a sufficient level.

    2. Verify TV Speaker Output Settings

    • Select Internal Speakers: Go to the TV's Settings and confirm that TV Speakers (Internal Speakers) is selected for sound output.
      Depending on your TV menu options:

    • Disconnect External Audio:

      • Ensure no headphones are connected to the TV's 3.5mm jack.

      • If your TV has a Headphone/Audio-Out settings menu, set it to Audio-Out to manage the internal speakers' status.

      • Note: This step addresses checks related to speakers being disabled, acting as a center channel, or connected to a stereo system.

    3. Check Connections and Source Device

    • Secure A/V Cables: Verify that all audio/video cables (from the set-top box, DVD player, etc.) are securely connected to the correct ports on the TV.

    • Test with Another Source: Connect and play audio/video from a different device or different internet streaming app to rule out an issue with your primary source.

    • Reset Set-Top Box: If the sound issue is only on a specific input, try resetting your set-top box (power cycle).

    4. Adjust Advanced Audio Settings (If Needed)

    • Turn Off Effects: In the audio menu, turn OFF any "Simulated" or virtual sound effects.

      • Select Sound → Advanced auto volume → Setting Values: Off

      • Select Sound → Sound customisation → Surround → Setting Values: OFF

    • Volume Offset: If available, check the Volume Offset setting and try increasing it to the maximum value.
