Sony Launches “Chase The World, As You See It” Photography & Filmmaking Contest
Celebrate Your Vision. Capture the World on Your Terms

(SINGAPORE, 6 OCTOBER 2025) – Sony’s much-anticipated “Chase The World, As You See It” contest is back! After receiving overwhelming responses in previous years, the 2025 edition promises to be even more spectacular with the launch of a brand-new category, Chase the Vision. Running from 6 October 2025 to 30 January 2026, the campaign invites creators and storytellers across the globe to explore the world through their lenses and push the boundaries of visual storytelling. This year’s challenge spans six dynamic themes, each led by a distinguished judge – acclaimed experts in photography, filmmaking, and creative storytelling – ensuring a rich, diverse showcase of talent and perspectives.
This year, Sony introduces a brand-new category: Chase the Vision, curated by renowned architectural photographer Darren Soh. The theme challenges participants to look beyond the obvious and uncover the hidden stories within everyday spaces and structures, studying how light, form, and perspective can transform ordinary places into extraordinary visual narratives.
Together with five other categories, the contest spans a wide spectrum of creativity, from Chase Speed, which pushes creators to freeze fleeting movements and dynamic moments too fast for the eye to see, to Chase the Wild, which explores raw, untamed encounters with nature. Chase Emotions focuses on immortalising powerful feelings and human connections, while Chase Light celebrates the magic of illumination and shadow that turns ordinary scenes into extraordinary stories. Finally, Chase the Unknown encourages participants to step beyond the familiar and embrace the thrill and mystery of the unexpected.
