While diminutive in size, this flash has a huge flash power with a Guide Number of 7 which allows for proper exposure when shooting subjects 1-2 metres away.
However, sometimes when shooting wide-angle shots with the flash, a dark semi-circle shadow appears at the bottom of the image. |

This shadow is caused by the lens and the hood being in the flash coverage area, as illustrated in the image above. |
|
To avoid such an issue, a flash extender accessory can be used to push the flash coverage forward, thus staying clear of the lens and hood. |
