This is a sturdy little recorder with great audio playback. It’s so small you can take it anywhere. I take it on hikes to record my thoughts and it works wonderfully.

I judge products on the totality of the item, including the user documentation. Too often, entirely satisfactory hardware is let down by the user documentation, as is the case here. I found the instruction sheet provided to be grossly inadequate and even the full manual of about 190 pages does not describe things well. So, my start with this item is only just beginning to make headway after several days and with two resorts so far to the support bot. I regret not buying a cheaper, larger, and more intuitive item, in fact I may send this one back to Amazon. Would I buy this item again? NO!

Perfect for wedding videographers

This device is a must for wedding videographers. I have been doing weddings for 6 years now, just started using this and it has been the best improvement to my audio game in years. If you are familiar with covering weddings you will know it is a nonstop fast-paced run and gun situation where every second countsHaving a device like this allows you to remain less obtrusive while being much more efficient and the audio(along with modern audio post editing) comes out just as high quality as standard prosumer lapel mics like the DR-10L in a practical use situation. I would have 10 of these if I could.

Instructions manual and difficulties to choose mus

My daugther bought this recorder 2023 ou 2024, I,m not sure, becuase I am not happy with such a difficul device to operate. To choose the musics i have recorded , its not easy, and i woul like to get the instructios manual also. Thks for your time

Had to purchase this, as I gave up with inferior, sub-£30 digital recorders that I purchased from online sellers. The Sony TX660 is not a budget recorder, due to it's premium price, but in very many cases with premium goods, you get what you pay for. I have purchased many USB digital recorders, which are very discreet, and can be used at functions such as weddings/marriage ceremonies etc. They provide basic quality sound of which some are better than others. These have disappeared from sale, to a greater extent, and I am not really surprised. The Sony TX660 has impressed with its excellent, clear, sound quality, which is adjustable, and can be tailored for many events like meetings, conferences, lectures, and the like. Voice quality that this thing picks up if worn as a pocket clip attached recorder is impressive. Once you have experimented with the various setting menus on the the OLED screen, and become more familiar with the small side buttons, which are small, but this is a small device, no wonder, you will not be disappointed with the sound results, once transferred to Laptop or PC. The Sony is a excellent piece of kit in a small, discreet, package, but at a price that reflects this.
