When Speak-to-Chat is On, the headphones lower the music volume when they detect that you are speaking. They also pick up the other person’s voice through the microphones, making it easy to have a conversation without removing your headphones.

Tap the right-facing arrow (>) icon next to Speak-to-Chat to adjust the following settings:

• Voice Detect Sensitivity
• Time until the mode closes

Use the Equalizer to choose a preset sound setting or create your own.

From the My Device home screen, select Equalizer to choose your preferred sound quality from the following preset options:

• Heavy (emphasizes bass)
• Clear (emphasizes treble)
• Hard (emphasizes both bass and treble)
• Soft (reduces both bass and treble)
• Game (emphasizes footsteps and gunfire in first-person shooter (FPS) games)

You can also save your own sound settings in Manual, Custom 1, and Custom 2. Use Manual to adjust a preset, or use Custom 1 and Custom 2 to create and save your preferred customized settings.

While listening to music, you can compare sound options step by step to find an equalizer setting that suits your preferences. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. You can save your selected sound balance to Custom 2 in the Equalizer settings.

DSEE Ultimate uses AI to enhance the quality of compressed digital music in real time. It analyzes each track as you listen and restores detail that may have been lost during compression, creating a richer, more natural sound.

It upscales audio to a quality similar to Hi-Res Audio (up to the equivalent of 192 kHz/32-bit), helping reveal finer sound details. Ongoing improvements to the AI also enhance the listening experience for everyday music sources, including standard CD-quality audio (44.1 or 48 kHz/16-bit).

Note: A smartphone that supports Android Head Tracking is required.

The app measures how you are wearing your headphones to optimize spatial sound.
When you use a compatible Android smartphone with head tracking or a service compatible with spatial audio, you can enjoy a more accurate spatial sound experience.

Tap Check the setting method to open your smartphone's settings.

You can connect your headphones to two devices at the same time.
To switch the music playback device manually, select it from the Connected device list.
Tap the (menu) icon to pin the selected playback device in the Connected device list.

You can prioritize either sound quality or connection stability when using a Bluetooth connection.
To help prevent audio dropouts or interference, select Prioritize Stable Connection.

Note: If your headphones are connected to a device that does not support LE Audio, the Low Latency option will not be displayed.

Note: This menu will not be displayed if your headphones are connected to an LE Audio-compatible device.

If the connected device does not support LE Audio, the headphones will connect using Classic Audio even if LE Audio Priority is selected.

Before connecting your headphones to a device that does not support the Sony | Sound Connect app, such as a computer, select LE Audio Priority.

With compatible Auto Switch headphones and speakers, you can automatically switch audio output between them without any manual operation.

You can choose which Ambient Sound Control settings to switch between using the NC/AMB button on the left unit: Noise Canceling, Ambient Sound, or Off.

You can choose which listening mode to switch between when you press the Listening Mode button on your headphones.

Use the touch sensor control panel on the headphones to control playback, adjust the volume, and answer or end calls.

Note: This setting is turned On by default.

If you enable the microphone on/off setting during a call on the Sony | Sound Connect app, you can switch the microphone on/off by quickly pressing the noise canceling/Ambient Sound Mode button twice.
During a call, double-tap the touch sensor control panel on your headphones to finish a call.
You can also enable a notification sound that plays while the microphone is turned Off so you know when it is muted.

When Head Gesture is On, you can answer an incoming call by nodding your head up and down. To reject a call, shake your head left and right.

Note: Answering incoming calls may not be available with some app and operating system combinations.

When this function is On, playback pauses automatically when you remove your headphones and resumes when you put them back on.

When this function is enabled, you can use voice commands to control supported headphone functions.

When Battery Care is On, charging stops before the battery is fully charged, which can help extend battery life.
The charging stop level may vary depending on the surrounding temperature and usage conditions.

When Automatic Power Off is On, the headphones automatically turn off after they have not been worn for a certain period, which helps conserve battery life.

You can turn automatic software downloads On or Off when a software update is available.
When this setting is On, you can choose to either Always download automatically or Download only when connected via Wi-Fi.

Note: This menu is displayed when your headphones are connected to an LE Audio-compatible device.

Tap this setting to switch the connection from LE Audio to Classic Audio.

To switch back to an LE Audio connection, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Connection tab.
2. Tap Bluetooth Connection Quality, then select Low Latency.
   Selecting Low Latency prioritizes an LE Audio connection.

Enable Service Link to use compatible features and services.

When Connect to 2 devices simultaneously is enabled, your headphones can stay connected to two devices at the same time.
You don't need to stop playing on the device you are currently using. When you start playing audio on the other connected device, the headphones automatically switch to that device.
If you don't want the playback device to switch automatically, turn this setting off.
