Notes:
- The output values for camera position information (X/Y/Z axis offsets) and orientation information (pan/tilt/roll angles) are unified between OpenTrackIO and free‑d. For details, please refer to the Integration Manual for Tracking Data Output.
- If the camera is updated while SETUP switch 4 is ON, the IP address will be forcibly fixed and the camera may not be able to connect after the update.
- Access the camera from a web browser and update the firmware. For details, please refer to the ILME-FR7 Help Guide.
- The camera software update must be performed with the lens removed and the pan/tilt lock unlocked.
- If the setting values on the settings screen do not update properly or are not displayed, please delete the old cache of your web browser.
- If you are using the Lens Controller, you will need to re-configure the settings after upgrading (for V2.00 users only).

Preparation
Check the Software Version of the Camera
Use the following procedure to check the software version:
- Display the Web App screen of the camera in a web browser.
For details, see the Accessing the Web App from a Web Browser section in the Help Guide. - In the web menu, select the Settings tab, then select Maintenance → Information.
- The software version of the camera appears under Camera → Version Number.
Notes:
- This update applies to software Ver. 3.03 or earlier.
- If the system software version is Ver. 4.00, the update is not required.
Software Update Preparation
Required Items
- A tablet or computer running a supported operating system and web browser for accessing the Web App. For details, see the Accessing the Web App from a Web Browser section in the camera Help Guide.
- An internet connection for downloading the software update
Other Prerequisites
- AC adapter (supplied with the camera)
- LAN cable (category 5e or higher)
Note: The update will take about 30 minutes to complete. Allow sufficient time before starting the update process.
Software Update Procedure
Notes:
- Perform the camera software update with the lens removed and the pan/tilt lock unlocked.
- Perform the software update using the AC adapter supplied with the camera or with a PoE++-compatible power supply device connected to the camera.
- Close all other running applications on your computer before starting the update.
- Disable your computer's sleep mode function before starting the update.
Step 1: Download the Update File
- Connect your computer to the internet.
- Click the Download button above.
- After reading the disclaimer, click Download.
- The (Update_ILMEFR7V400.dat) file will start downloading.

- The (Update_ILMEFR7V400.dat) file will start downloading.
- Save the file to the desktop of your computer (recommended).
Note: Using the Google Chrome default settings, the update file will be saved in the Downloads folder.
Step 2: Update the Software
- Connect the camera and the computer with the saved update file to the same network, and then turn them on.
- Display the Web App screen of the camera in a web browser on the computer.
- For details, see the Accessing the Web App from a Web Browser section in the camera Help Guide.
- Select Maintenance → Information → Camera, and then check the Model Name and Version Number in the web menu.
- Select Maintenance → Information → Camera → Version Up in the web menu, press the Choose File button, and select the update file (Update_ILMEFR7V400.dat) that you downloaded.
Note: Do not perform the following actions until the update has been completed:- Turning the camera off
- Disconnecting the network
- Closing the Web App screen (web browser)
- The following screen appears:
- Check the file name (Update_ILMEFR7V400.dat) and press OK.
- The update will fail if no update is required. Check the software version of the camera again.
- The update file will start uploading. A progress bar will appear during this process. Wait until the uploading is complete before proceeding.
- When the update file finishes uploading, the Web App screen will appear and the update will start.
Notes:- Do not turn off the camera or disconnect the network during the update process.
- The update process time will vary depending on your network environment.
- The POWER lamp will blink yellow during the update process.
- When the update process ends, the camera will reboot automatically. This will take a few minutes. Leave the camera turned on and wait until the POWER lamp lights up in green.
Step 3: Check the Software Version
- After the camera finishes rebooting, reload the page in the web browser.
Note: If the setting value on the setting screen is not updated properly, delete the cache from the web browser. - Select the Settings tab, then select Maintenance → Information → Camera and check that the Version Number is set to 4.00.
