TV doesn't power on and doesn't respond to the remote or power button. (BRAVIA 3 (S30) series)

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Please refer to the 'Applicable Products and Categories' section of this article for details.
If your TV is a model other than the one mentioned, refer to the article The TV will not turn on or does not have any power.

Step 1: Try the power button on your TV

    1. Your TV has an actual power button at the bottom of the frame. Once you have found it, press it to turn the TV ON.
    2. If that works, the issue may be with your remote control or its batteries. For details, refer to the article TV remote control not operating properly or not responding at all.

Step 2: Check if the power cable is firmly connected and power cycle

    1. Verify if your TV power cable is correctly attached to both the TV and the power outlet.
    2. After confirming the connections, perform a power cycle reset:
      • Unplug the power cable from the power socket
      • Leave it out for 30 seconds
      • Reinsert the power cable

Step 3: Disconnect all external devices

Unplug all connected devices, such as game consoles and soundbars, from the TV. Try powering on the TV again.

Step 4: Try a Forced Factory Data Reset using the TV button

You can perform a manual reset by pressing the power buttons on the TV and inserting the cable, even if the TV isn't powered on or isn't responsive.

    WARNING!

    • The TV will revert to its original condition at the time of purchase. A "Factory Data Reset" deletes all customized settings, including channels, account information (such as a Google account), system and applications data, downloaded apps, wired and Wi-Fi network settings, parental lock settings, and the camera device's data.
    • If you perform a Forced Factory Data Reset, the retail demo data will also be erased from internal storage.

Step 5: Try a Long press Factory Data Reset using the TV button

Even if a Forced Factory Data Reset doesn't recover the TV, there are special recovery methods that can work in certain cases.
