Netflix exits to the Google TV Home screen after a few minutes of watching content on my 2021 Google TV

    If you've experienced an issue where the Netflix app closes to the Home screen after a few minutes of watching content on your 2021 Google TV, follow these steps to perform a Factory Data Reset:

    WARNING: Factory data reset will clear all of your customized settings including the parental lock setting and following:

    • Google Accounts
    • System & Applications data
    • Downloaded Applications
    • Channels
    • Wireless network settings
    1. On the remote control, press the  (Quick Settings) button.
    2. Select  Settings.
    3. Select System.
    4. Select About.
    5. Select Reset.
    6. Select Factory data reset.
      NOTE: If you want to stop Factory data reset at this step, then select Cancel.
    7. Select Erase everything.
    8. Start Initial Set up.
    9. Sign in “Google account” during Initial setup.

    NOTE: While it's possible to enjoy Netflix without a Google account, we strongly advise you to sign in with your Google account during the initial set-up phase following the Factory reset (NOT after completing the initial set-up). You will then be able to add more apps to your Google TV and use all its available features.
