Initial settings of Google Assistant on your wireless headphones

    If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product.

    • Headphones that support Google Assistant
      • To check if your headphones support Google Assistant, see the Applicable Products and Categories section of This Article.
      • Update the headphones software to the latest version. Visit the Sony Support website, search for your headphones by entering the model number, and then go to the Downloads section.
    • Sony | Headphones Connect app
      The latest version of the Headphones Connect app must be installed.
    • Smartphone that supports Google Assistant app
      The latest version of the Google Assistant app must be installed.

    When using Google Assistant for the first time, change the function of the headphone button (or touch sensor) and configure the initial settings for Google Assistant.
    NOTE: The button name varies depending on the model. Refer to the Help Guide for your model headphones.

    1. Start the Sony | Headphones Connect app and connect your wireless headphone.
    2. Start the Sony | Headphones Connect app, select (Settings), and then change the function of the button or touch sensor to Google Assistant.
    3. Configure the initial settings of Google Assistant.
      • Android devices
        Press and hold the smartphone's home button to start the Google Assistant app.
        Tap Finish the headphones setup and follow the displayed instructions to complete the setting.

      • iOS devices
        Start the Google Assistant app.
        Tap Finish the headphones setup and follow the displayed instructions to complete the setting.
