TERMS & CONDITIONS


  1. The “The Garfield Movie Passes” (“Giveaway”) is organised by Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Sony”). By participating in this Giveaway, the participant agrees to be bound by the following terms & conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).

    2. QUALIFYING PERIOD
  2. This Giveaway qualifying period is from 16 May 2024, 00:00H to 30 June 2024, 23:59H (SGT), both dates inclusive (“Qualifying Period”).
  3. Sony reserves the right to change the Qualifying Period.


    4. ELIGIBILITY
  4. Participants must be 18 years and above as at the date of the participation and a resident of Singapore.
  5. Employees of Sony and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies of Sony together with their employees, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforesaid persons are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway.


    6. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
  6. Each purchase and registration of qualifying Sony products in the Participant’s My Sony Rewards Account during the Qualifying Period at any Sony Store or with any authorised dealers in Singapore automatically qualifies as one (1) entry for the Giveaway.
  7. Multiple purchases of qualifying Sony products will count as multiple entries for the Giveaway. However, each Participant may only win a maximum of one (1) pair of The Garfield Movie Passes during the entire period of the Giveaway.
  8. For the avoidance of doubt, qualifying Sony products refer to products that are eligible for registration in My Sony Rewards Account. Products such as storage devices, batteries and accessories including but not limited to memory cards, USB flash drive, external hard drives, portable chargers, headphones and smartwatches do not constitute as qualifying Sony products.
  9. There will be six (6) draws conducted for the entries received for the Giveaway for a total of 60 winners.
  10. The winners for the Giveaway will be determined by a random draw which will take place in Singapore weekly stated below on every Tuesday beginning from 28 May 2024 to 2 July 2024 at 15:00H (SGT) (“Draw Date”). Unless Sony notifies otherwise, the random draw will be conducted by means of a computerised system in front of an audience at a meeting that is open to the general public on the above Draw Date and time. The Draw Date(s) are subject to change based on any prevailing regulations and guidance on Safe Management Measures for COVID-19. The Draw Date(s) are as follows:

    PRIZES
  11. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each winner shall receive 1 pair of The Garfield Movie Passes (“the Prize”).
  12. The Prize is non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for credit or other prizes. Sony reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion, replace and/or substitute the Prize with any other item of a similar value.
  13. The winner will be notified via email within one (1) calendar day of the Draw Date. The winner shall be contacted using their contact in their My Sony Rewards account. The Prize must be collected within 7 days after being notified and any prizes not collected will be deemed as forfeited. Sony accepts no responsibility or liability in the event that a winner cannot be contacted and/or in the event the winner does not collect the prize within the stipulated period.
  14. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the winner’s part to allow the perpetual use of the winner’s name, image, voice and/or likeness by Sony for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
  15. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of Sony by each winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) this Giveaway, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to this Giveaway, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
  16. The receipt by any winner of any prize under this Giveaway is conditional upon compliance with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  17. The winner shall be responsible to and bear any applicable tax in connection with the prizes. If any tax is applicable to the prize and such tax is (i) required to be withheld by Sony and (ii) permitted to be withheld from the payment under any applicable tax convention, the amount of such tax shall be deducted from the prize by Sony.


    18. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
  18. Each individual participating in this Giveaway acknowledges that in respect of any personal information disclosed by him/her to Sony or obtained by Sony from him/her:
    19. a. He/she is authorised to disclose such personal information; and
    b. Such disclosure complies with any privacy legislation from any country, within the geographical scope of this Giveaway, and the use of such personal information by Sony as contemplated by this Giveaway (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such personal information to Sony's external agencies or third parties).
  19. By participating in the Giveaway, the participant gives consent to Sony:
    20. a. To the use of the Information, without compensation, for Sony’s promotional and marketing purposes;
    b. To the use of the Information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Giveaway; and
    c. To the use of the Information, without compensation, for any and all purposes set out in the Data Protection Policy of Sony at https://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/privacypolicy/sg/ (“Privacy Policy”).


    GENERAL
  20. Sony reserves the right to disqualify the winner or revoke any prizes awarded if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the winner has breached these Terms and Conditions, or on any grounds as Sony may in its sole discretion decide.
  21. Sony’s decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway shall be final and binding.
  22. Creation of My Sony Rewards membership account is subject to My Sony Rewards Terms and Conditions.
  23. Sony reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extend, terminating or suspending this Giveaway, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and all Participants shall be bound by these amendments.
  24. Sony shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Giveaway and/or redemption or use of the Prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfillment of the prize, any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by Sony of this Giveaway shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against Sony for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  25. Each participant warrants to indemnify Sony against any and all claims in relation to his/her participation of this Giveaway and breach of its Terms and Conditions contained herein. Sony’s rights are hereby expressly reserved.
  26. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  27. The Terms and Conditions of this Giveaway shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

SPRI Movie Pass Terms and Conditions

  1. This pass admits one (1) person for one (1) show only, subject to seat availability, on presentation of this card in person at the cinema box-office in Singapore only.
  2. Age limits apply as per film classification rating.
  3. Pass is only valid for all session timings at Golden Village, Filmgarde, Shaw Theatres, WE Cinemas, Eaglewings Cinematics and The Projector in Singapore from 30 MAY 2024, till end of run of the movie, EXCEPT those commencing from 5pm onwards.
  4. Pass is not valid on public holidays and eve of public holidays.
  5. Pass is not valid for all Cathay Cineplexes and for all 3D digital screens, premium cinema halls and seats including but not limited to Filmgarde Primo, Cathay Platinum Movie Suites, Cathay Cineplex’s Elite Club , Cathay Ultima Seats, Cathay Wave Seats, GV Gold Class, GV Gold Class Express, GV Deluxe Plus, GV Gemini, GV Grand Seats, GV Auro, GV Dolby Atmos, GV Duo Deluxe, Shaw IMAX, Shaw Shaw Premiere, Shaw Dreamers, Shaw Lumiere, WE First Class, EagleWings Cinematics Gold, Platinum & Silver halls and special event films as determined by the film distributor.
  6. Pass is strictly non-transferable, non-negotiable and non-changeable for cash or otherwise.
  7. Rights are reserved to change the Terms and Conditions of this pass without prior notice to cardholder.
  8. This pass remains the property of the Sony Pictures Releasing Singapore Pte Ltd.
