How to transfer pictures from the camera to a Mac computer.

    How to import pictures via USB Connection

    1. Turn on the camera.
      NOTE: If the iPhoto software automatically starts, close it.
    2. Connect the camera directly to the USB port on the computer.
    3. Copy the picture files.
      1. On the Finder Bar, choose Go and then Computer.
      2. Click on the NO NAME or UNTITLED icon.
      3. Locate the picture files you want to transfer.
        1. Click the DCIM folder.
        2. Click the 100MSDCF folder.
        3. Press and hold the SHIFT key.
        4. While holding the SHIFT key, click to select the pictures you want to transfer.
      4. After you have finished selecting the pictures, release the SHIFT key.
      5. Press Command+C to copy the files.
    4. Paste the picture files to the computer.
      1. On the Finder Bar, choose Go, All my files and then select Pictures.
      2. Press Command+V to past the file into the Pictures folder.


    After copying the files to the computer you can use either the iPhoto, PlayMemories Home, Image data converter, or other photo software to view the pictures.

    IMPORTANT: If the picture files copied to the computer were in the RAW format, you will first need to use the Image Data Converter software to convert the RAW files to a JPEG or TIFF image  before they can be seen in most photo software.

    NOTE: If you do not remember the directory where you saved the files, you can use the search function on the Mac computer.
