The free repair service for CFD-S70 described in the announcement below has ended on November 30, 2021. Sony will continue to support the product, in accordance with our rules and regulations for repair service. (Updated on December 1, 2021)

Thank you for your continued interest in Sony products.
Sony has discovered that some units of Personal Audio System, "CFD-S70" may exhibit some of the symptoms mentioned below. This may happen due to a defect of the internal part which reads the data recorded on an Audio CD.
To ensure customer satisfaction, Sony will repair the affected products without any charge if it exhibits any of the symptoms mentioned below. Customers with the affected products are requested to contact your local Sony Contact Centre.
This free of charge repair will remain available until November 30th, 2021.

- Audio CD cannot be played back
- The message, "no CD" appears on the display of the product even though an Audio CD has been inserted
- Sound skips often during the playback of an Audio CD

To determine if your product may be affected, please validate the serial number via the link that corresponds to the country where the product was purchased from.

The model name and serial number are located at the bottom of the product.
Note that the Serial Number label is pasted inside the battery compartment cover. Please open the battery compartment cover to locate the serial number information.
