When installing Picture Motion Browser supplied with HDR-UX1 or HDR-SR1 Camcorder, some functions in VAIO software do not work properly. To resolve this, you may need to update the VAIO software and confirm the below information:

Information on AVCHD format
AVC HD video playback generates a certain amount of load on your hardware resources and may make some operations and/or functions unavailable. Additionally, depending on your hardware specifications including the CPU, GPU or System Memory performance, you may find sound interruptions and/or dropped frames during AVC HD playback.
2. VAIO software upgrade for editing the AVCHD files on VAIO.
By upgrading VAIO Edit Component Ver.6.1, the image of AVCHD corresponds to advanced editing work with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 / Adobe Premiere Elements2.0. VAIO with pre-installed VAIO Edit Component Ver.6.0 application requires this update.

Note:
- The recommended setting of CPU control on VAIO Control Center is Operation Priority.
- Editing work may be affected when sharing memory with graphics due to increase in the sharing memory area.
- Noise, frame drops, sound drops may appear sometimes when playing back contents.
3. Notes on using Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1 bundled with Camcorder.
1. After installing the supplied Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1 software into the VAIO computer, a DVD with VR-mode cannot be created with Click to DVD and VAIO Zone.

2. After installing Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1, DSD disc and *.dsf files cannot be played back.
To resolve this, please use any of the playback methods below.
a. Import the DSD data using the Sonic Stage Mastering Studio software. To playback, click the Play button in Sonic Stage Mastering Studio software.
b. Save the DSD data to the local hard disk (for example My Music folder) of the computer. To playback the data, please use the Windows? Media Player.
c. From Windows®Explorer, double-click the file that is saved in the DSD disc directly to playback.
3. The files output by VAIO Edit Component Ver.6.1 cannot be played back on Windows Media Player.

Please use the InterVideo WinDVD for VAIO application pre-installed in the VAIO computer to playback the disc.

5. About the ripping of picture on 8cm DVD media.
Click to DVD and Dvgate Plus applications which are preinstalled in VAIO computers cannot rip and edit the discs (both Hi-vision and SD) recorded by HDR-UX1 camcorder.
To resolve, please use the Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1 software bundled with the camcorder.
6. About the recording to 8cm DVD media.
To record the contents* to the 8cm DVD, after connecting HDR-UX1 camcorder to the USB port of the VAIO computer, please use the Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1 software bundled with the camcorder.
* Contents been edited by Picture Motion Browser Ver1.1 or Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 / Premiere Elements2.0.

Disclaimer for application
Depending on disc type, “Click to Disc” and “Click to Disc Editor” require a maximum of 100GB HDD capacity in addition to the space required for source content.
Disclaimer for small size HDD + BD writable drive (under 150G HDD space in default )
The following requirements may not be suitable for 50GB BD disc.
Click to Disc/Click to Disc Editor HDD requirements
— BDAV : requires 1~2G HDD space only
— BDMV, BD-J : about 2X HDD space of source material is required.
— These applications don’t include source material.
Please connect AC adapter to the VAIO computer when editing or playing back Hi-vision contents.
