7 Frames Per Second Tele-zoom for high-speed shooting

Get in on the action and capture up to 7 frames per second (fps) with Continuous AF in High-Speed Shooting mode on the α35. Tele-zoom also enables continued perfect focus while zoomed into a 1.4x* close-up, while exposure and other parameters are optimized for dynamic imagery. *Image size is 8.4 mp in this mode, with aperture fixed at F3.5 or the maximum aperture of the lens in use, whichever is smaller.

Unlike regular DSLRs, the α35 offers fast, accurate and continuous focus on moving subjects using Phase-Detection AF, to easily create professional-looking movies. A benefit of Sony's Translucent Mirror Technology, this allows tracking of subjects on the move without delay and greater clarity, in Full HD.

Vast imagery of panoramic scenes can be recreated in 3D with this feature on the α35. Sweeping across the landscape you want to capture, images of left and right eye views of the scene will be taken, and come to live when played back on a compatible 3D television.
