5 Tips on Writing a Good Product Review
| 1 | Decide on the overall point you want to convey. |
Focus on an overall basic opinion of the product, such as “Worthy contender for best entry level DSLR”, and use that as a framework for your review. Every point should lead up to this one idea.
| 2 | Use clear language. |
Avoid using industry or niche terms. Use clear language and terms most people can understand and always use correct grammar and spelling.
| 3 | Share facts not feelings. |
Instead of simply saying a product was horrible or did not work properly, you need to explain why (e.g. “I don’t like this function because...”)
| 4 | Write from experience. |
Write reviews for products that you have used extensively. Using a product just once or twice is not enough to write a proper review about it.
| 5 | Stay professional. |
To ensure other consumers take your review seriously, write in a professional tone and avoid profane or offensive language.
