The high-speed BIONZ image processing engine also allows you to capture fast-moving action effortlessly with faster continuous shooting speeds with rapid, precise autofocus. This makes it possible to sustain shooting speeds of up to 4 frames per second (fps) in Live View Mode, and up to 5fps with the optical viewfinder. Raising the bar further still, the DSLR-A550 features a new Speed Priority mode that lets you shoot at an incredible 7fps (with AF and AE setting maintained from the first frame).
