Sony Appointed as LASALLE-SIA's Technology Partner for the New City Campus of LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts
The College will be a showcase for Sony's design, High Definition technologies and Audio Visual solutions under its Broadcast and Professional Product Division
SINGAPORE, February 1, 2006 - Sony Singapore has signed an agreement with LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts as its technology partner for LASALLE-SIA’s New City Campus located in the Rochor area.

The New City Campus is part of the Singapore's Government's plans to upgrade LASALLE-SIA into a world-class arts institution and to re-site the College into the area designated as the Arts, Culture, Learning and Entertainment hub of Singapore. To be completed by the end of the year, the state-of-the-art City Campus will be a benchmark for Singapore's remaking as global schoolhouse and city of the arts. Sony Singapore’s Broadcast and Professional Product Division will design and provide equipment for the new City Campus including:
- Sony's Internet Protocol Network Surveillance, providing IP surveillance for the entire Campus.
- Contactless Smartcard Solutions utilising Sony's proprietary contactless smartcard, Felica. It allows students to mark attendance, book facilities and access various spaces within the Campus.
- Sony's AV system and display in the Lecture Theatres and other designated spaces across the Campus.
- Sony's IT Networking Audio Visual System for networking and display for the entire Campus. Students and staff can share content anywhere within the Campus, enabling them to learn and share digital content easily.
- Sony's High Definition CineAlta and XDCAMHD technology for studios in the School of Film.
- Sony's S-AIT Storage Solutions and Digital Media Data Storage systems will be integrated and employed in the Digital, Virtual and Mediatheque Library.
- Sony's Projection Solutions for interior glass walls of the New City Campus, enabling digital graphics on glass walls. Content can be changed as often as desired. It will transform the College into Singapore's biggest digital gallery.
- Sony's Digital Signage Solution, displaying fresh, lively and up-to-date content. Emergency messages and important bulletins can also be scrolled across the screen.

Sony Singapore will provide Audio Visual consultation, broadcast system consultation and training of users upon system handover.
